Disney Recipe: Hoop Dee Doo Revue Cornbread

If you enjoy cornbread at all, then you HAVE to make this. Seriously. Its the best cormbread ever, and the one that has taken over at our house. I’d happily eat it as a meal all by itself, but we love it here with chili.
The recipe is a sweet cornbread (don’t panic when you see the amount of sugar.) but it is SO good. Its also super easy. Just measure all your dry ingredients into the bowl, add the wet and mix! No special instructions there.

I prefer to use white cornmeal, but it really doesn’t matter at all. I will say that the batter is frequently thick, so you will have to spread it out into the pan and make sure its even.
Then just pop it in the oven for 20-25 minutes and let it bake and turn into deliciousness.

Seriously, with a bowl of chili, this stuff is the best. I like to put a piece in the bottom of my bowl and spoon chili on top. But do whatever works for you.

And…. because I decided it was a good idea, I’ve made my first YouTube cooking video for this one! I’ve linked it below, if you want a visual. Please, keep heckling to a minimum, at least until I have the hang of this….
I have also started a Facebook bake along/cook along group – and this is the first challenge! If you want to join us, head to this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/cookingwithcharacter/ I hope you’ll join us!
